Summary

Metal-detecting in 1993 and 2003 recovered a medieval coin as well as a Late Saxon stirrup-strap mount and a medieval lead seal matrix engraved with fleur de lis and S'MAR'DE.SE.

1993. Metal-detecting.
Late Saxon box mount and quadruped. Pierced trefoil terminal. Flange and rivet hole. See Polaroid (S2). This find was reidentified as a Late Saxon stirrup-strap mount by D. Williams in 1997, see Monograph (S1).
12th/13th century lead circular seal, matrix, fleur de lis in centre. S'MAR'DE.SE??
