Summary

Metal-detecting at this spot in 1989, 2000 and 2007 unearthed metal objects that date to the Early Saxon, Late Saxon and medieval periods and two medieval coins. Metal-detecting in 2010 recovered part of a medieval mount and a post-medieval coin.

Gilded bronze mount with integral shank. Two openwork leaf scrolls. ?13th century.
Bronze buckle-plate fragment with stylised animal engraved and roughly 'pecked'. See for comparison (S1); one from (S2).
