Summary

Metal detecting in this area during 1993-2009 recovered a variety of objects. Finds included a Middle Bronze Age spearhead, two Roman coins, part of a Late Saxon pair of tweezers, medieval and post medieval metalwork and a possible early 17th century Dutch style pin.

Possible medieval bronze triangular terminal and pierced hole (from casket hinge, perhaps?).
Two medieval bronze ring brooches ?pins lost.
Early post medieval bronze boss with flange and engraved decoration (annulets and foliage). Part of loop on reverse survives.
Two early post medieval broken buckle frames.

1993. Metal detecting.
Late Saxon arm of tweezers with moulded decoration near bow consisting of transverse lines and two 'top to toe' chevrons inverted end of arm.
Medieval tiny fragment of purse frame, V-shaped inner section, curved surface decoration with pairs of lines, cross hatched and once inlaid with niello.
Late medieval or early post medieval cast bronze spout from cistern.
Early 17th century Dutch type head dress pin with pierced hole under terminal (tiny boss) and longer 'eye' beneath, or, is it a more recent bodkin as there is no decoration, and as the metal looks more recent, I think I'd go for the latter.
