Elizabeth I groat - 1558 to 1560, mint marked = LIS. See list in file.
Identified by J. Davies (NCM) 29 July 1993.

May 1994. Metal detecting.
14th century seal matrix, circular and two profile facing heads, perhaps FRANGE LEGE, TEGE (break, read, keep secret).
Early post medieval stud.
