Summary

Metal detecting between 1993 and 2017 recovered a post-medieval jetton and a number of other metal finds, including a Middle/Late Saxon unidentified copper alloy object, a medieval copper alloy seal matrix and a post-medieval copper alloy seal matrix and silver hawking vervel.

Middle/Late Saxon unidentified object (S2). The object comprises a hollow cylinder with three tapering projections, two of which are broken, the other bearing a moulded animal head. It is possibly a ferrule from a knife or sword handle.
