Summary

This was the site of a small common edge settlement during the medieval period, and the earthworks of medieval tofts are still visible. The settlement is mentioned in medieval documents dating from the 14th century. Field walking has recovered medieval and post medieval pottery, and post medieval clay pipes.

This site is recorded as MED105 and MED106 in (S3). On MED105 a cottage is recorded from the late 14th century, until the late 16th century. A messuage is recorded on the site of MED106 from the early 15th century, until the late 16th century.
