Summary

Metal detecting at this location recovered two metal buckles. One was either Saxon or early medieval in date whilst the other was from the post medieval period. A silver post medieval coin was also found here.

1993. Metal detector find.
Early post medieval buckle.
Identified by S. Margeson (NCM) 1993.
W. Milligan (NCM) 9 December 1993.

1994. Metal detector find.
Gilded bronze buckle plate, double circular with leaf lobes at junction and pelleted border. ?Late Saxon/Early medieval.
