Roman crossbar and cast-in-one top knob of crossbow brooch. Length 41mm. Crossbar roughly facetted to produce hexagonal section, knurled ribs next to side knobs, all three knobs with six facets, ends of axis bar visible in ends of side knobs, stub of sub-rectangular section bow. Late 3rd/4th century.
