Summary

Metal detecting from 1993-95 recovered two 4th century Roman coins and an Early Saxon silver gilded bronze sword-mount.

Early Saxon silver gilded bronze pyramid-shaped sword-mount. See for comparison the Sutton Hoo sword which had two pyramid mounts found close by. Empty setting in centre (perhaps for garnet). Bar on reverse. Sunken triangles.
