Summary

Aerial photography in 1993 revealed cropmarks of ridge and furrow earthworks. They were thought to be rather too straight to be medieval, but in 1998, a fragment of medieval pottery was found that may indicate that they were of this date.

These earthworks are not S-shaped and therefore may be due to steam ploughing. However a drain shown on 1:10,000 OS cuts through them.
