Full Description
Pre 1964. Stray Find.
Ploughed up near each other "many years before 1964":
1 ?Mesolithic flaked flint axe. Maximum 150mm long by 40mm wide, brown flint with iron staining, patch of cortex near butt. Lozenge cross section. See sketch (S1).
1 Neolithic flaked flint axe. 130mm long by 45mm wide, grey flint, some ironstaining.
Identified by E.Rose (NLA). See sketch (S2).
Given by daughter of finder to source [1], who states that he took them to Thetford Museum in 1992 where "a temporary person" recorded them and said he would send the information to NCM; but no such record found.
