22 March 1994. Hit by plough, dug up, and removed to Gayton Hall from where it was recovered.
Massive and unusual tracery fragment, early 14th, or late 15th century? Brought from elsewhere?

12 April 1994. Area around findspot and rest of field examined by very rapid fieldwalking.
Field under young crop, level, but rather dusty.
Negative results, but recommend re examination before assumed to be blank.
