Early Saxon cruciform brooch, foot missing, non ancient break. Side knobs are cast in one with headplate, very plain and flat. Single pin-lug. Catch plate missing, and apparently worn down to a mere stub, ?deliberately. Colour of copper alloy showing through verdigris, in places.
