Full Description
November 1983. Listed, Grade II.
Former farmhouse. About 1700, red brick and pantiles. Two storeys and attic, extended about 1800 to north. Original façade of five bays to east, brick plinth, corbelled platband between floors, eaves course at eaves, clasping pilasters each end. 20th century inserted windows. South gable with two blocked attic windows. Central sundial dated 1651. Shaped gables each end with central stacks and platbands at eaves level. Tie irons in form of I G.
Information from (S1).
Architect's plans from 1994 (S2) in file.
Presumably the listing inspector did not believe the entire building was as early as 1651, though the submitted drawings would be acceptable for that date.
E. Rose (NAU), 2 August 1994.
