Summary

Fieldwalking in 1994 and metal-detecting in 2015 recovered medieval and post-medieval pottery sherds, suggesting that this was the site of a medieval settlement and a possible moated site. This site is one of a number of similar small settlements strung out along the edge of a former green.

(S1) notes a concentration of medieval pottery at this site which is suggestive of settlement activity. It is one of a number of such settlement sites strung out along a former green shown on (S2) and (S3).
