Summary

Metal-detecting between 1994 and 2012 recovered many metal finds dating from the medieval to post-medieval periods. These include medieval and post-medieval coins such as a 16th century Portuguese coin and a coin of Alexander II of Scotland; a medieval thimble and fragment of folding clasp decorated with a cast head of the king; medieval to post-medieval buckles and a finger-ring and post-medieval buttons, a jetton, coin weight, knife, dress fastener, sword belt and cloth seal.

Full Description

1994. Metal-detecting.
Two medieval coins and one medieval jetton. See list in file.
Half an annular brooch, 15th century. Three bosses containing white paste, multiple drilled holes, including five with surviving rivets (two of which have tiny sheet rosettes around their heads). Diameter 31mm.
