Summary

This early 18th-century house was previously used as an inn. It is built of brick, painted white and has a glazed pantile roof. An extension built of flint has been added to the main building.

Formerly Fishmongers Arms.
Early 18th-century former inn. Brick, painted white, of five bays with two bay addition in flint to south. Glazed pantile roof. Shaped gable to north, parapet gable on extension, gable chimneystacks and two axial chimneystacks. Brick bays have platband, flint bays have plinth. Flush sash windows, fourth bay from north with blank opening, fifth bay with tripartite sash, third bay with porch. North gable wall of flint and brick with brick patterning that may once have formed letters; blocked first floor window.

September 2011.
There is said to be an old doorway of mid-16th-century date, the purlins of an old weavers' window reused in the roof and a disused stairway. The property was originally three cottages, and a public house from 1842 to 1959 (S3).
