Full Description
August/September 1994. Metal detecting. Field 503. Large scatter including NHER 24396 and 24638. Southwest part of field.
Late Saxon openwork tongue shaped hasp with bosses on frame and knob terminal. Same on both faces. Attachment loop broken. Central stem with symmetrical 'branches'.
Lovely late medieval solid bronze knife end - cap in form of saddle.
Identified by S. Margeson (NCM).
