Summary

Walnut Shade is a mid 17th century timber-framed farmhouse, which has been pebble-dashed and colourwashed. This one storey building has a thatched roof and a dormer attic, as well as some mid 19th century casements and a rebuilt ridge stack. It is possible that this building originated as a late medieval hall house.
