Summary

Metal detecting in 1994 recovered medieval coins, a belt fastening, a casket key, a seal matrix and a lead pilgrim's bottle. Also found were six post medieval coins.

1994. Metal detecting.
One medieval coin, one medieval jetton, six coins of Elizabeth I.
Medieval bronze belt fastening with forked spacer plate, circular terminal and projecting animal head with transverse hole in its jaws. See (S1) figure 10.1.
Medieval bronze casket key.
14th century circular bronze seal matrix with facetted handle. Crowned T with foliage around.
Lovely lead ampulla, late medieval. Walsingham. Crowned S on one face, scallop shell on reverse.
Very nice 16th century sword belt hooked fitting with foliage decoration and animal head at end of hook.
Looped decorated plate attached, which was attached to scabbard. (Hooked fitting was attached to belt).
