Summary

Metal-detecting in 1994, 1996 and 2012 recovered medieval and post medieval coins, a post-medieval token and Roman, medieval and post-medieval metal objects. The metal finds include a Roman nail or stud; a medieval belt stiffener, part of a cauldron foot and a buckle; a medieval/post-medieval candlestick fragment and parts of a copper alloy vessel leg and foot and a post-medieval openwork stud, hooked tag, mount and weight.

Full Description

November/December 1994. Generally located in field.
Two medieval, two post medieval coins, two post medieval jettons. Identified by J. Davies (NCM).
13th century belt-stiffener. Two rivets in elongated lobes on either side of central boss.
Early post medieval hexagonal openwork harness stud. Two spikes on reverse. Convex with scalloped and nicked edge, and petal-shaped openings forming sexfoil.
Medieval cauldron foot fragment. Identified by S. Margeson (NCM).
Several early post medieval buckle frames. Identified by A. Rogerson (NLA).
