Summary

In 1994/5, a surface find proved to be a worn Roman pottery fragment. In 1997, metal detecting recovered a medieval lead alloy brooch.

1994/1995. Surface find in garden.
1 very abraded light grey reduced sandy sherd, probably Roman.

Ident A.Rogerson (NLA) 12 April 1995.

March 1997. Metal detecting find.
Lead alloy medieval brooch/badge with integral pin at rear. Circular with central perforation and 2 decorative knops, one of which has pin attachment behind, 2 other knops missing. Design of 8-pointed on cross-hatched ground within circular field.
