March/April 1995. Metal detecting.
Object of uncertain date. Pre Saxon, cast, very sturdy fitting with moulded decoration along edge of 'wing'. Pierced at end, with iron in hole. Oval moulded boss at other end at right angles. (Maybe Something to do with a balance,possibly ?Roman. A. Rogerson (NLA)).
