Full Description
May/June 1995. Metal detecting.
13th century copper alloy mirror case fragment with punched ornament in form of double cross with inturned arms. Single projecting pierced lug. Traces of white solder inside.
Medieval strap ends. Triangular with moulded leaf terminal and two rivets. Squashed rectangular sleeve with rectangular loop on reverse and worn decoration with three fields; three piece with lobed terminal and two rivets.
Early post medieval double looped buckle frame with 'ogee' outer frames and black ?lacquer coating.
Early post medieval thimble with spirally applied punched dots.

Medieval horse harness pendant, shield shaped, small traces of silvering and decayed/discoloured enamel (now greenish). Blazon: Argent a chevron [?].

Two early post medieval double looped buckle frames: white metal coating, one trapezoidal loop with oblique grooves on outer edge; central bar with iron staining projecting beyond frame, other loop D shaped with huge openwork knop at pin rest. Each loop D shaped with moulded rosette at pin rest; central bar protruding slightly beyond frame.
