Summary

Metal detecting between 1993 and 2002 recovered a burnt flint 'pot boiler'; a Late Upper Palaeolithic/Early Mesolithic flint blade; a medieval pottery sherd; medieval coins; a post-medieval token and a number of other metal objects. The metal finds include medieval to post-medieval dress accessories, a medieval lead fishing weight and a post-medieval copper alloy mould and writing lead.

Lead Glazed Earthenware sherd.
Medieval penny, identified by J. Davies (NCM), 23 December 1996.
Illegible farthing token, 17th century.
Medieval cauldron cast bronze foot.
14th century strap end made from two pieces of bronze sheet held together by two rivets, one at the closed end and one at the open end. The front plate is decorated with borders of rocker-arm, along the sides, and a zig-zag of rocker-arm in between. The back plate two dome-headed upholstery tacks - post medieval.
