Summary

These earthworks border the commandry of the Knights Hospitallers site (HER 8814) and are a series of ditched enclosures that pre date the Enclosure period field pattern and may be related to the commandry. One fragment of medieval pottery was found during an earthworks survey carried out here.

Full Description

August 1995. Earthwrok Survey.
Survey of earthworks north-west of Wood Farm.
A series of enclosures in grassland to the northwest of Wood Farm. The pattern is within existing fields, but the nature of these smaller enclosures suggests a pre-Enclosure period date for most.
One medieval sherd found.
