Summary

Metal detecting in 1995 recovered a range of objects, including Roman coins, brooches and pottery fragments. Also found was a post medieval thimble.

Langton Down brooch. Head only, in good condition. Cylindrical housing with spring, pin missing. Wide upper bow, reeded, with a central knurled rib and another on each edge. Mid 1st century AD.
