Summary

This row of cottages joins onto the rear wing of a house in Bridewell Street which is probably 16th century in origin. The cottages seem to date to around 1700. Originally they were one long building with an unusual industrial hearth. They were divided into cottages around 1800.

Row of cottages joined onto the rear wing of a house in Bridewell Street (Nos. 12, 14 and 16) which is probably 16th century in origin. Cottages seem to be around 1700, originally one building with an unusual industrial hearth, divided into cottages around 1800. Some reused stone, and a castellated wallplate.
