Full Description
1994/1995. Fieldwalking and surveying of ploughed earthworks. Lower Farm Meadow.
Earthworks may be part of moat NHER 11388 to north.
Medieval and post medieval sherds.
Lava quern.
Pot boiler site.

Six additional laval quern fragments from one previously walked square.

9 October 1999. Field observation.
To west of stream in square where lava is found.
Thin tertiary flint flake, unmodified.
Identified by P. A. Robins (NCM).

Survey square B1. Twenty-eight fragments of lava querns, of varying thickness, some with a tooled face.

2000 to 2001. Fieldwalking.
Grid square B1. Nine fragments of lava quern, none with surviving edges, including one 33mm thick, one 40mm, one minimum 52mm and one minimum 60mm. One other larger piece (broken and stuck together) found in a heap of stones after potato picking, more likely to be from square A2 or B2, 50mm thick, diameter. Approximately 500mm and probably an upper stone.
