Summary

In 1995, during the digging of an extension to a house on this site, three to four inhumations were uncovered. These were aligned east to west with their heads to the west. No other finds were made. These burials are probably from the churchyard of Rackheath Parva church (NHER 12639).

25 September 1995.
In footing for extension to new house on site of warehouse, in north-south trench, at depth of about 600mm in sandy gravel. Trench 4.5m long 9m east of southeast corner of Round Hills Wood.
3-4 inhumations aligned east-to-west, apparently with heads to west. Bone seen in situ in east and west sections, others already taken by Constabulary to NCM. No other finds.
Probably from churchyard of Rackheath Parva church (NHER 12639). Bones to be reinterred.
