Summary

A series of low banks form a group of rectilinear enclosures at this location. They are aligned east-to-west between the stream forming the east side of flood plain of River Stiffkey, and a sinuous channel and ridge to the west. The orientation is very close to that of the present Whey Curd Farm, and is immediately west of it, indicating a possible landscape association. However, the precise nature of these banked enclosures is uncertain.
