Summary

Several ditched enclosures to the east of Lower Farm are probably the remains of medieval crofts or enclorsures associated with the nearby farmstead.

Ditched enclosures to east of Lower Farm indicate remnants of croft like closes probably associated with the farmstead. The area nearest farm has been gardens in recent years, although now pasture. To east of hedge the enclosures extend east to the edge of the natural river terrace where a well defined scarp overlooks the flood plain.
