NHER 31698 (Find Spot record) - Medieval metal finds

August/September 1995. Metal detecting.
Copper alloy 13th/14th century strap end forked spacer plate, acorn knop. See (S1).
Copper alloy fragmentary mount for horse harness pendant, gilded. Two rivet holes. medieval.
Medieval copper alloy ?pin head or large rivet, with biconical head, or terminal from hooked belt fitting. Shank broken, but curved into U shape.
Medieval gilded copper alloy buckle plate with cirvilinear incised decoration. Two rivet holes.
Medieval Copper alloy rectangular buckle plate, three of five rivets in situ, with large globular heads. Rocker arm decoration, gilded.
Medieval copper alloy slightly tapering trapezoidal buckle plate, five rivet holes, gilded.
Medieval copper alloy strap end, two rivets at open end, hook at other. Near hook on front plate, a pierced loop at right angles to plate. Neat rocker arm on horders. Loop ? for a safety chain to attach counter plate.
Lead ampulla, very worn. X above a shield with a 'St. George' cross. This is very like NCM 252.76.94, from Pakefield, Suffolk.
