Summary

Metal detecting in 1992 in the old parish of Walpole St Peter recovered a Roman handle and coin, an Early Saxon 6th century square-headed brooch, and a late medieval buckle frame fragment. The exact location of this discovery is unclear.

Roman bronze double-barrelled hollow handle.
Late medieval buckle frame fragment.
Early Saxon 6th century square-headed brooch. Leeds B1, Kenninghall 1 type.
