Summary

Metal detecting at this site near the river has recovered finds dating from the Bronze Age to the post medieval period. Highlights include a Bronze Age or Iron Age copper alloy wire ring, a Roman figurine in the shape of a cow, a Late Saxon key and a shield-shaped medieval pendant. Roman, medieval and post medieval coins were also found.

Edward I penny. Very worn, as Seaby's No.1386. London mint.
Identified by finder, not seen A. Rogerson (NLA).
Long Cross penny, incomplete and worn.
Two fragments legs of medieval cauldron(s) and rim of cast medieval vessel.
Medieval belt stiffener, two rivets, deeply incised cross on reverse on central boss.
Middle Saxon pin, biconical head, collar, most of shank missing.
One body sherd glazed Grimston.
One base probably late medieval/early post medieval.
