Summary

Metal detecting in 1996 recovered a medieval buckle frame, a pilgrim bottle, a gilded horse harness pendant and a piece of pottery.

January 1996. Metal detecting.
Medieval buckle frame, rectangular with five transverse grooves on outer edge.
Very thick ampulla, base now flattish, so capable of standing up. Shell on one face. ?West on other. Walsingham. Weight 139g.
Body sherd, reduced, micaceous, probably medieval unglazed.

Found at same time as previous items by [1].
Circular gilded horse harness pendant, broken suspension loop. Inscription in border. Central circular field with relief shield of arms in centre. Very unusual. Inscription is probably personal name. +EDWADARDLGAXDVA. Or A cross gules.
