Summary

Metal detecting and fieldwalking between 1996 and 1997 recovered Roman and medieval pottery, medieval and post-medieval coins and medieval and post-medieval metal objects. Further metal-detecting in 2011-2012 recovered medieval coins. Metal finds include a medieval harness pendant; a medieval/post medieval key, perhaps for a small box and a post-medieval fastener for clothing.

Full Description

February 1996. Metal detecting. At two difference locations in field.
Two medieval and two post medieval coins.

One jar rim with sooted exterior, St Neots, with shoulder sherd probably from same vessel.
One thick shelly sherd probably St Neots.
One body sherd grey reduced, ?wheel turned, profuse rounded and sparse angular voids.
One body sherd oxidised shelly, ?date, ??Roman.
Two medieval unglazed body sherd.
One body sherd glazed Grimston.
