Full Description
April 1996. Systematic Fieldwalking and Metal-detecting Survey.
Field survey in advance of possible golf course extension.
Large scatter includes NHER 20533, NHER 9754.
Prehistoric flint flakes and some scrapers and retouched pieces.
Post-medieval pottery sherds.
Copper alloy tag or strap end.

June-July 1996. Trial Trenching.
Possible Roman trackway leading towards known Roman road. Pit and postholes, possibly forming palisades and/or building; much Roman pottery. Roman coin, tiles and tesserae.
Medieval token.
