Summary

Metal detecting revealed a prehistoric flint flake, an Early Saxon buckle, a very unusual Late Saxon bridle side link, made from parts of two different pieces, and medieval and post medieval metal objects.

March 1996. Metal detecting find.
Very unusual Late Saxon bridle side link, made from parts of 2 different pieces. Loops are of slightly variant forms, both with some white metal coating. Central bar at junction of the two parts is encased in lump of different coloured copper alloy.
