Summary

In March 1996 a fieldwalker found a Mesolithic or Early Neolithic scraper, three prehistoric worked flints and two pieces of Roman pottery.

Designated Lexham Field 18. Well weathered, sandy surface, 30% search. In northwest corner:
?Mesolithic/Early Neolithic end scraper
Three sharp unmodified later prehistoric flint flakes
Two Roman sherds (rim of decorated samian bowl and sherd of ?Early Roman coarse ware bowl)
Undated lead rod with waisted sides.
