Summary

In 1996 investigation of this area showed that the ditches and a scarp here were indicative of a former field boundary. This boundary possibly lay at the rear of medieval tofts. Further east of this location, medieval ridge and furrow was observed.

Ditches and scarp to east of Chicago Terrace indicates former field boundary, possibly rear of tofts. Further east, ridge and furrow is superimposed with sub-rectangular ditched enclosure, with east arm mostly recently infilled.
