Map

Pillbox.
Now largely covered in hillwash. Sunk into southeast corner of hill.
Apparently either a type 24, 24A or 22/24 - polygonal with one side longer than the others, but other detail hidden. Interior inaccessible. Two loopholes visible. Outer skin of brick now collapsing. It was clearly built to command the valley to the southeast, not to face the coast to north.
E. Rose (NLA), 22 August 1996.

This is a rare type 24 pillbox, dated 1940.
