Summary

Metal detecting here in 1995-96 recovered an Iron Age coin along with a selection of Roman metal objects. The Roman finds included a roughly-made knob, probably a furniture handle, and an oval boss brooch with a glass centre.

Two Roman coins.

Roman roughly-made knob, concave with round projection and attachment shank below. Either a handle from furniture etc. or a lock pin.
Glass centre boss brooch. Oval, with multi-coloured glass inset and gilded grooved and punched herringbone surround. Edges rather worn and pin missing. 3rd/4th century.
