Summary

Fieldwalking at this location in 1995 recovered Iron Age, Roman, medieval, medieval/post-medieval and post-medieval pottery sherds. Subsequent metal-detecting in 2024 recovered a post-medieval silver bodkin or head-dress pin.

2 Iron Age gritty sherds.
2 Roman greyware sherds (1 rim, 1 base).
4 unglazed medieval (1 base).
3 Late medieval/early post medieval (including 1 handle and 1 base).
1 Martincamp? Costrel sherd.
1 Scarborough ware jug handle.
4 Lead Glazed Earthenware.
Identified by W. Milligan (NCM).

Post-medieval silver bodkin or head-dress pin.
Information from PAS import.
Extended to whole field. Previous extent recorded as Context 1.
This silver bodkin or head-dress pin was disclaimed as Treasure (Ref: 2024 T1137) and returned to the finder.
