Full Description
1996.
Roddon to east of Old Croft River is a 0.5m high flattish topped ridge with scarp or bank and drain as its western boundary roughly parallel to old river course. East boundary is similar. Various subrectangular ditched enclosures on the roddon and to east suggest a probable medieval field pattern, with one very well defined ditched causeway in the central field. It is 6m wide and has 10m x 5m ditched enclosure south of its junction with the western boundary.
Seen in part on various aerial photographs.
B. Cushion (NLA) November 1996.
