9 October 1996. Metal detecting.
50m south of north hedge, 120m west of east hedge.
Side knob from florid cruciform brooch, with two lugs for pin bar on reverse. Relief decoration of animal or human mask with two large eyes, triangular nose, slit mouth and ?bead of vertical lines. Rather worn, but retains traces of gilding. Aberg Group V. Late 6th or very early 7th century.

No other finds visible or detectable in surrounding area apart from one body sherd Glazed Grimston.
One bowl rim medieval unglazed.
