Summary

A 19th brick-lined soakaway drain was found during the building of the library extension. It is probably related to a house shown on a 1939 map.

Revealed the dome of an infilled brick lined soakaway, the top of this about 14m deep in foundation trench. Bricks retrieved appear to be of 19th century date.
