Summary

Fieldwalking in this area during 1996 recovered several prehistoric flints along with sherds of medieval and post medieval pottery. Geophysical and fieldwalking survey between 2002 and 2003 detected curvilinear anomalies likely to represent field boundaries. Finds included a low density flint scatter indicating prehistoric background activity, burnt flint, a glass fragment and medieval pottery. Metal detecting between 2002 and 2003 recovered an early post-medieval silver coin.

November 2002 - January 2003. Geophysical, metal detecting and fieldwalking survey. Bacton to King's Lynn pipeline plot 242.
Geophysical survey detected linear and curvilinear anomalies likely to represent former field boundaries. Finds recovered from fieldwalking included flint flakes, blades and core indicating prehistoric background activity; five fragments of burnt flint; a glass fragment; and sherd of medieval pottery. Metal detecting recovered an early post-medieval silver coin.
