Full Description
1996. Metal detecting.
Very unusual medieval large buckle plate fragment. Remains of iron buckle frame and pin are very slight. Lozengiform openwork with punched lines of same shape. Similar punched lines around border. Back part of plate is short and plain.
Polaroid (S1) in file. Identified by A. Rogerson (NLA).
