Summary

Metal detecting at this location in 1996 uncovered evidence for Bronze Age metal working. Other finds have included a gold Iron Age coin imported from France and a Late Saxon decorative plate. Subsequent metal-detecting in 2011 recovered two Late Saxon coins.

Roman very worn foot of Hod Hill brooch with decoration of transverse ridges. Remains of catch plate on back. 1st century AD.
Medieval part of case of iron barrel padlock, coated with bronze.

Bronze Age copper alloy casting jet, evidence of metal working. Middle/Late Bronze Age.
Roman mirror fragment. No edges surviving.
Medieval two bronze vessel fragments.
Post medieval part of a four-hooked fastener - two wires with hooks at each end bound together with finer wire. 16th/17th century.
